Here is a short writeup by one of the group members (John Jon)

Steps for Install including bumper hitch guard replacement:
1) remove rear door latch ring piece (oval plastic where back hatch locks)
2) remove plastic guard over rear where the rubber seal is. Just pulls off. Pretty easy.
3) remove round cover that hides spare tire bolt)
4) lower the spare tire and remove tire
5) remove 3 screws that hold in the plastic bucket where you retractable back cover goes and jack if you have one.
6) remove rubber plug where your trailer hitch wiring will pass thru.
7) I didn’t jack the SF up or anything.
spray a little bit of WD40 on the three rubber muffler hangers. If you have a hanger removal tool it’s not needed. I just did mine by hand because they are new, they are very pliable and easy to manipulate off.
9) loosen the muffler bolts that are attached the the midpipe. (Do not remove)
10) use a floor jack to support the muffler so it hangs down but does not pull on exhaust. When you do this you will understand.
11) maneuver the hitch so that the end that mounts above the muffler is just resting on top of the muffler which is supported by the floor jack.
12) lift the other side up abd screw in 1 bolt to get the opposite side in the correct spot.
13) do the other side where the muffler is.
14) there are 2 hours that go in horizontal (both sides) and 1 vertical.
15) tighten evenly each one. Do not crank down until they are almost all the way in both sides so the pull is even on the hitch. 68 footpounds torque each.
16) content the other harness to the plug harness but not controller box. Feed thru hole and zip tie to 2 holes that are in the hitch on muffler side.
17) slide muffler hangers back on and tighten 2 flange bolts that connect mid pipe to muffler.
18) on top situated rubber grommet from wiring harness so its seated in floor cutout.
19) attach brake controller to plug and connector plus from existing harness. Very obvious what goes where. Only 1 way. I did disconnect abd reconnect to get the wires to lay the way I wanted them to. I an attaching picture of how I did my wiring.
20) remove back cover from bumper (2 Phillips screws abd I think 4 push grommets and replace with new hutch bumper cover.
Reverse wuth replacing tub insert where the jack and retractable cover goes. Replace back guard. I use a cc to get the rubber seals to fit correctly..
